May 2004 A £67M refurbishment for South West Trains started in 2004 and saw 91 x 4 Car Class 455 units undergo major refurbishment. The programme included a C6 overhaul, significant investment in reliability improvements and complete interior refurbishment, including Passenger Information System and CCTV improvements. The work was carried out by Bombardier Transportation.
